Petrographical investigation of an Upper Llandoverian turbidite sequence has been undertaken in conjunction with the primary 1:50,000 geological survey of the Aberystwyth District (Sheet 163) by R. Cave and B. A. Hains of the Institute of Geological Sciences. The sequence represents distal thin‐bedded turbidite deposition in a NW‐SE channel, with material derived from the southeast.
