It sometimes feels that because The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of Parties is held just before the year end, there is sense of pressure for the meeting to finish in jubilant mood. Certainly the 24 th Conference of Parties (COP 24) was launched with an air of expectation. But one of the stand out features of the meeting was the continued and serious debate on carbon capture utilisation and storage (CCUS). In this feature article, GHGS&T's Muriel Cozier rounds up a few of the main points on a climate technology that might just be about to come of age. © 2019 Society of Chemical Industry and John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
