Line 4 of the Paris metro is currently being extended about 1.9 km further south with the two new stations Verdun‐Sud and Bagneux. The tunnelling under limited space conditions in difficult ground will be secured in the area of the future stations with AT pipe umbrella systems. The fast and safe implementation of the pipe umbrellas was ensured by the special Alwag systems squeezed pipe connection and AT automation unit (see page 179)
