Due to the location of the New Semmering Base Tunnel preliminary works in form of the construction of a temporary construction access road from the S6 Semmering motorway were necessary. In addition to the main construction access road smaller access roads were necessary as well. These roads had to be secured using slope stabilization measures as well as earth retaining structures, each of which was monitored. Einige vorbereitende Maßnahmen waren für den Bau des Semmering Basis Tunnel (neu) sind aufgrund seiner Lage notwendig. Als Teil dieser Maßnahmen wurden im Jahr 2013 eine temporäre Baustellenzufahrt an der S6 Semmering Schnellstraße und daran anschließende Baustraßen errichtet, wobei eine Vielzahl an Böschungs‐ und Hangsicherungsmaßnahmen durchgeführt wurde, die messtechnisch intensiv beobachtet wurden.
