The Swedish expression “Vi har bra berg” means “but we have good rock”. On the Söldermalm Tunnel construction project, this applies to most of the ground encountered in gneiss/granite. The section was partially excavated by drilling and blasting, with the blasting holes being drilled as a parallel cut. The use of emulsion blasting agents and Nonel detonators is standard. The main aim is to reduce vibration from blasting in order not to be impair buildings and infrastructure above the tunnel. Der schwedische Ausdruck “Vi har bra berg” heißt so viel wie “wir haben doch ein gutes Gebirge”. Beim Tunnelbauprojekt Söldermalm trifft dies auf den überwiegenden Teil der aufzufahrenden Strecken im Gneiss/Granit zu. Die Strecke wird u.a. im Sprengvortrieb aufgefahren, wobei die Sprenglöcher im Paralleleinbruch gebohrt werden. Die Verwendung vom Emulsionssprengstoff sowie Nonel‐Zündung ist Standard. Hauptziel ist, Erschütterungen verursacht durch die Sprengungen zu vermeiden, da Gebäude und Infrastruktur oberhalb des Tunnels nicht beeinträchtigt werden sollen.
