Cytogenetic analysis of a metastatic biphasic synovial sarcoma showed two structural abnormalities: t(X;7)(q 11 or 12;q32) and t(7;14)(q22;q11.2). This is the first report of a synovial sarcoma without the involvement of either Xp11 or 18q11.
