On March 31, 2021, the Biden administration released the American Jobs Plan, a $2.65 trillion dollar plan over eight years to invest in physical infrastructure including roads, railways, bridges, manufacturing, jobs, and healthcare. A significant portion of the plan focuses on investments in electric grid and high‐speed broadband internet, recommending $100 billion to bring high‐speed broadband to all Americans. A bi‐partisan version of the plan, at a lower $1.2 trillion investment, was announced on June 24th which maintained $65 billion of investment in broadband, paving the way for approval and significant expansion of highspeed internet access across the US.
