The volatile leaf oils of Eucalyptus populnea F. Muell., E. sparsa Boomsma, E. largflorens F. Muell., E. cuprea Brooker & Hopper, E. absita Grayling & Brooker, E. behriana F. Muell., E. intertexta R.T. Baker, E. ochrophloia F. Muell., E. lansdowneana F. Muell. & J. E. Brown subsp. lansdowneana, E. lansdowneana F. Muell. & J.E. Brown subsp. albopurpurea Boomsma, E. porosa F. Muell, ex. Miq., E. odorata Behr, E. microcarpa (Maiden) Maiden, E. ‘desquamata’ Brooker, E. viridis R.T. Baker, E. melanophloia F. Muell., E. fasciculosa F. Muell., E. leucoxylon F. Muell. subsp. leucoxylon and E. leucoxylon F. Muell. subsp. petiolaris Boland, isolated by vacuum distillation, were analysed by GC‐MS and by GC. All species contained α‐pinene (1‐26%), 1,8‐cineole (1‐68%), p ‐cymene (0.2‐11%), aromadendrene (1‐36%) as principal leaf oil components.
