The volatile constituents of the leaves of Vepris heterophylla R. Let. (Rutaceae), were studied for the first time. Thirty‐three compounds, out of the forty‐four detected, were identified by means of capillary GC and GC‐MS. The C 12 hydrocarbons, geijerene and pregeijerene (together about 20%), are the main constituents.
