Samples of resin collected in Kenya and attributed to Commiphora myrrha and C. holtziana have been examined. These have yielded a wide range of sesquiterpenes, notably furanosesquiterpenes based on eudesmane, elemane and germacrane. The distribution of these compounds is discussed in relation to the collection and commerce of myrrh‐like resins in Kenya.
