The essential oils from the verticillasters and leaves of Phlomis cretica were analyzed by GC and GC‐MS. The main constituents of the verticillasters essential oil were germacrene D (34.0%) and germacrene B (11.0%). The leaf oil contained germacrene D (47.9%) and α ‐pinene (11.2%) as major constituents.
