The essential oil of Ferula persica Willd. var. persica root has been investigated by GC and GC–MS and 39 compounds representing 82.0% were identified. Dimethyl trisulphide (18.2%), myristicin (8.9%) and dimethyl tetrasulphide (7.6%) were the main components. Copyright © 2005 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
