The essential oil of Seseli tortuosum L. growing in Turkey

Water‐distilled essential oil from the aerial parts of Seseli tortuosum (Apiaceae) was analysed by GC and GC–MS; 96 compounds were characterized, representing 95.4% of the oil. The main constituents were found to be α ‐pinene (35.9%), sabinene (8.8%), ( E )‐sesquilavandulol (8.4%) and β ‐pinene (7.0%). Copyright © 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
