The oil constituents from the aerial parts of Cachrys sicula L., gathered in different locations of Spain, have been studied by GC and GC–MS. We have analysed the oil from the fruits, flowers, stems and leaves, and umbels' rays. The major constituents in the different oils analysed were found to be p ‐cymene (7.3–36.7%), γ‐terpinene (1.8–27.2%), α‐pinene (3.9–21.8%), sabinene (3.1–21.3%), myrcene (6.0–18.8%), ( E )‐β‐ocimene (1.8–27.2%) and ( Z )‐β‐ocimene (0.1–17.2%).
