We report the rediscovery of seven Eriocaulaceae taxa, which were known exclusively from the type collection or from historic collections. The taxa are Actinocephalus cipoensis , Actinocephalus coutoensis , Actinocephalus ithyphyllus , Paepalanthus argenteus var. elatus , Paepalanthus decussus , Paepalanthus stuetzelii , and Syngonanthus circinnatus , all narrowly distributed. They occur in the southern and central part of the Espinhaço Range in Minas Gerais, Brazil. We provide a brief taxonomic comment for each taxon, as well as details about the populations, habitat, and a revised IUCN conservation status. Finally, we discuss the earlier and present collecting efforts at the visited sites, as well as some conservational aspects (© 2010 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
