A new species of Dasya C.Agardh, Dasya ulhasii Sonali U.Jadiye & P.S.N.Rao sp. nova, has been reported from the Dapoli coast of Maharashtra, India. The present species is clearly distinguished from the other Indian species reported so far, by its small size and branching pattern. The morphology of the present species is studied in detail together with tetrasporophytic, female and male plant. (© 2007 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
