Taxonomically critical Chinese species Vicatia bipinnata , treated early also in the genus Sino‐dielsia , found to be morphologically similar to Melanosciadium H. Boissieu , a previously monotypic genus, also endemic to China. A new combination in Melanosciadium [ M. bipinnatum ( Shan RenHwa & Pu FaTing ex Shan Ren‐Hwa et al.) Pimenov & Kljuykov ] has been proposed. A new species, Melanosciadium genuflexum Pimenov & Kljuykov , closely related to M. bipinnatum has been described. A key to determination of three species of Melanosciadium has been compiled. (© 2006 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
