It has been shown that the three Umbelliferae species, distributed in Eastern Himalaya, and previously referred to the genera Angelica and Peucedanum , are very similar in their characters, including carpological ones, to the genus Arcuatopterus , which was regarded as Chinese endemic. Three new nomenclatural combinations are proposed. A key is provided to the six species of Arcuatopterus now recognized, and a nomenclatural summary is also given. The generic area does not go limits beyond of the East Asian floristic subingdom (from Sichuan to Nepal, Sikkim and Khasia Hills).
