According to the data published from the author's studies since 1963 up today, and of others since 1890, there are actually 829 species of macrofungi known from Vietnam. 519 species are new for this territory. The preliminary check‐list presented here has been compiled according to the modern system in the natural position of fungi and their relational organisms. In every family the genera and the species have been arranged alphabetically. The main information of species would be also given.
