Setchelliogaster rheophyllus , comb. nova, is described and illustrated. The species originally described from North Africa as Naucoria was confused in Spain with S. tenuipes. It is interesting for its systematic position between agaricoid and secotioid Basidiomycetes. It fruits in winter in humus of Eucalyptus globulus in allochthonous affore stations in Asturias and Vizcaya in northern Spain. The genus Setchelliogaster is interpreted as a secotioid member of the Bolbitiaceae.
