Six species of the genus Ulva LINNAEUS ( U. beytensis THIVY et SHARMA, U. fasciata DELILE, U. lactuca LINNAEUS, U. quilonensis sp. nov., U. reticulata FORSK. and U. rigida C. A. AGARDH) including one new species are described from Kerala, India.
