Non‐protein amino acids in the taxonomy of Tephrosia Pers. (Fabaceae) With 3 Figures and one Table

The free amino acids of the leaves have been analysed in nine species of Tephrosia. The presence of fortythree amino acids in all, has been detected and of these, twenty‐eight are non‐protein ones. The exclusive presence of certain non‐protein amino acids in some species has been found to be taxonomically useful.
