The structure, development and distribution of stomata in the leaves, stems and fruits of five Indian species of Cucurbitaceae are studied. Anomocyclic, haplocytic, and paracytic stomata are observed. The abnormalities like stoma with one guard cell, unequal guard cells, without guard cells and contiguous stomata are also reported.
