Chenopodium borbasii J. Murr, Progr. Ober‐Realsch. Innsbruck, p. 56, 1891 (synonymy: Chenopodium borbasioides A. Ludwig et Aellen in Hegi, Chenopodium subcuneatum J. Murr ex Ascherson et Graebner, Chenopodium zobelii A. Ludwig ex Ascherson et Graebner) has 3‐lobed blades of the leaves. The length of the blade of the lateral lobes is equal to the length of the blade of the terminal lobe. The terminal lobe has, as a rule, on each side (in the 2nd third of the length of the blade) a conspicuous tooth. They are diagnostic characters of the series Opulifolia D., under which I subsume Chenopodium borbasii J. Murr together with the following species: Chenopodium opulifolium Schrader ex DC. in Lam. et C. betulifolium (J. Murr) J. Murr, C. solitarium J. Murr emend. D., C. acerifolium Andrz., C. tridentinum J. Murr, C. drucei J. Murr, C. linciense J. Murr, C. jehlikii D., C. preissmanii J. Murr, C. lobatum (Prodan) D., C. thellungii J. Murr, C. unari D.
