The author presents the distribution maps of all the known species of the Labiatae occurring in a wild state in Canada. Sixty eight species and nine hybrids of this family are recognized to occur in Canada. Generic and specific keys are given. The bioclimatic requirements for each taxon are discussed. The native species are grouped into four categories: (1) Species of widespread occurrence in Canada and there are eight such species. (2) Species mainly distributed in southeastern climatic region of Canada and these are 15 species in this category. (3) Prairie species. This includes 6 taxa. (4) Species restricted to Pacific climatic region and there are only three species. The introduced species are grouped into three categories: (1) Naturalized and widely distributed and this includes 11 species. (2) Naturalized and restricted in distribution, but established and persisting. There are 23 taxa in this group. (3) Species of sporadic occurrence which do not usually persist for a long time and this category includes 11 taxa. It is also concluded that 12 species do not occur in Canada as no specimen could be traced to support the record and these should be excluded from the Canadian Labiatae.
