During the Czechoslovak expedition to Hindukush 1965, M. Daniel collected about 70 sheets of vascular plants; a small collection was also made by Dr. J. Wolf. In this collection, 59 species were identified. Approximately 16 species are recorded for the first time for Afghanistan, 3 new species are established, 3 new nomenclatorical combinations were made by Soják and 1 by Hadač. Phytogeographical distribution of the species is discussed briefly; the main ridge of Hindukush plays evidently an important role as a phytogeographical line of division between the northern and southern Flora element in this part of Central Asia.
