Abstract Approaches to training in evaluation, with the aim of seeding the field of education with evaluators who can work with organizations in a more participatory and relevant way, are proposed. The methods suggested are intended to incline evaluators toward participatory approaches. Trained evaluators will be equipped to forge powerful learning partnerships with programs and participants, thus improving the prospects for mainstreaming evaluation.
