Abstract This chapter reports a participatory evaluation conducted in Brazil, where youngsters with life pathways marked by involvement in crime, and therefore included in social programs, were invited to be the evaluation team of the program. The experience provokes reflections on new technical and ethical challenges in the evaluation process. The authors also present a new methodological proposal for the field of qualitative investigations created exclusively for this evaluation, called FRAMES (QUADROS), which is inspired by comic books. The broad ethical frame is a positive “capabilities” approach to evaluative work with youth. ©Wiley Periodicals, Inc., and the American Evaluation Association.
