An error was made in describing the development and composition of the Decisional Balance Scale (Cockell, Geller, & Linden, 2002). In addition to generating material through interviews with eating disorder experts, existing scales covering similar content were reviewed. Unintentionally, six items from the Concerns About Change Scale (Vitousek, DeViva, Slay, & Manke, 1996) were included on the Decisional Balance Scale, one of which appears as an example on p. 363 but does not appear in the actual scale. The authors regret the inclusion of these items without permission or acknowledgment.
