Comparative performance studies of ternary blends proposed as substitutes for CFC‐12 are presented in this study. The experimental set‐up includes a domestic refrigerator for evaluation of blend performance. Experimental data show that the ternary blend NARM‐12 consumed 35% less energy than CFC‐12, and exhibits shorter cycles at comparable pressure ratios than CFC‐12.
