The problem of free convection flow of a viscous heat generating rarefied gas is considered for the case when a strong magnetic field is imposed perpendicularly to the plane of flow. Analytical expressions for the velocity field and temperature are obtained, and the influence of the Hall currents m and the heat source parameter on the velocity field and temperature are discussed.
