The problem of heat transfer from two parallel plates of infinite width is formulated for the case where the flow between these plates consists of a periodic motion imposed on a fully developed laminar steady flow. The results indicate an increase in the heat transfer rate with pulsation. This increase is proportional to the amplitude of pulsation and inversely proportional to the Prandtl number.
