This note presents a numerical method for redigitizing a given time history at a smaller time increment than that used to define the time history without changing its original frequency content. Both the theoretical basis and the numerical procedure of this method are presented. A numerical example is also given in order to demonstrate the advantage of this method over the linear interpolation method commonly used in the industry.
