A liquid exfoliation route has allowed the environmentally friendly, scalable, and cost‐effective production of high‐quality 2D MoS 2 nanosheets. However, high capacity achieved by the liquid‐exfoliated pristine MoS 2 is rarely reported in lithium‐ion batteries. For the first time, it is demonstrated that liquid‐exfoliated small‐sized MoS 2 nanosheets exhibit a high reversible capacity of 1133 mA h g −1 after 130 cycles and an excellent rate capability; these values are comparable to the high performances achieved by the available chemical routes.
