Lindsay Page's research is helping college administrators realize they can devise more effective strategies to combat summer melt, which affects an estimated 10 to 20% of college‐intending students who veer off course in the summer before matriculating. Summer melt tends to have a disproportionate impact on low‐income and first‐generation students.
