“We're always looking for new ways to engage current and prospective students,” said Vinnie Cazzetta, vice president for institutional advancement and chief executive of the Newburgh Campus of Orange County Community College. SUNY Orange used to find students through radio ads and newspapers. Then the college's website and social media became key communications tools, he added. After hearing about the success of augmented reality engagement, such as the millions of Pokemon Go players, officials said, “Let's give this a try,” Cazzetta said.
