“I had a traditional college experience myself, but I just kind of fell into [working with transfer students],” said Craig Howard, associate director of transfer admissions at the University of North Texas. For the last 12 years, Howard has recruited transfer students to various universities, the most recent being UNT. He shared thoughts on how to make your institution stand out in a crowded marketplace, the importance of strong transfer agreements, and traits to look for in students that will help determine if they're a good fit for your campus.
