The University of Wisconsin‐Green Bay grew its freshman class by 5 percent this fall compared to fall 2016. That's an impressive feat in a region where the number of high school graduates is declining. And attracting more applicants to Green Bay is a challenge. “Not everyone thinks it's a destination,” said Jennifer Jones, director of admissions at UWGB. The application numbers that led to the increase rose modestly, but the enrollment increase resulted mostly from higher yield among students who applied, Jones said.
