BOSTON — On Sept. 5, 2017, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced an end to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, to go into effect within six months. A few days later, an announcement was made that President Donald Trump had reached a deal with Democrats to restore or renew DACA. Twenty‐four hours after that, Speaker of the House Paul Ryan announced that no such deal existed. For colleges and universities, this landscape of constant change makes it difficult to predict what the state of DACA will be in a few weeks, let alone months.
