SAN ANTONIO — If your goal is to improve student persistence and completion numbers, using data to understand your students and plan initiatives is the first step. At Saint Joseph's University in Pennsylvania, first‐year retention rates increased from 85.5 percent to 89 percent and six‐year graduation rates increased from 77 percent to 79 percent over a five‐year period.
