At many institutions, admissions departments are struggling to meet their enrollment goals. According to the 2014 Inside Higher Ed Survey of College and University Admissions Directors , 61 percent of admissions directors said they had not filled their fall class by the traditional May 1 deadline, and nearly half were “very concerned” about meeting enrollment goals for the year.
