As your institution plans its enrollment strategy for the future, consider how you will address changing demographics. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan announced earlier this year that K–12 school enrollment is now majority minority, said Luis Maldonado, chief advocacy officer for the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities. The largest group of minority students are Hispanic. They now make up 25 percent of the K–12 population, and they are the only group that is growing.
