DOI: 10.1002/elps.201900047 The cover picture shows an overview of microfluidics' typical applications based on its core which is the droplets generation. There are two kinds of applications. One is micro fabrication using droplets as template. The other is sorting using droplets as container to encapsulate and manipulate targeting objects. The images on the left part show complex structure with various function can be fabricated such as Janus SERS probe motors. The rest of images show the droplets can encapsulate many tiny objects and isolate for interaction and observation. It briefly and clearly presents the idea of what microfluidics could do and how it is done.
