DOI: 10.1002/elps.201700318 The cover picture shows the toxicity of arsenic in the marine environment in relation to the chemical form of this element. Scrobicularia plana reflects the biological response to inorganic arsenic, using elemental and molecular mass spectrometry, which reveals the greater presence of non‐toxic arsenobetaine besides significant concentrations of less toxic methylated and toxic inorganic arsenic. Metabolomic analysis allows the classification between bivalves exposed to low and high As(V) levels, about 15 metabolites are altered under the presence of this element.
