Advantages of enzyme‐immuno‐assay after blotting in bloodstain grouping: Application to the haptoglobin groups

Enzyme‐immuno‐assay after Western blotting with anti‐haptoglobin and anti‐immunoglobulin conjugated‐peroxidase or‐alkaline phosphatase increases the sensitivity of haptoglobin visualization. The detection limit in serum could be improved from 1:8 to 1:256. This method was applied to bloodstains with improved results.
