The experimental examples of occurrence of isoalpha points ( iap ) in electroreduction of Cu 2+ , Tl + , Zn 2+ in the presence of 1,3‐dimethyl‐2‐thiourea have been presented. The theoretical ECE and EE model examples of iap and isopotential point ( ipp ) as well as mixed iap / ipp isopoints are discussed in the context of their similarities and differences. Novel extended interpretation of ipp points in electrochemistry, based on concentration profiles approach, was also introduced.
