Polycatechol (PCC) was prepared by electropolymerizing catechol (CC) on the surface of an ordered mesoporous carbon (OMC) modified electrode for the first time. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) were used to characterize the structure and electrochemical behaviors of PCC/OMC nanocomposite film. Compared with the bare GC and OMC/GC electrodes, the PCC/OMC/GC electrode exhibits a good electrocatalysis toward the oxidation of NADH at 0.0 V with a high sensitivity (8.7 mA/mM). These make PCC/OMC/GC electrode a promising candidate for stable and efficient electrochemical sensors for the detection of NADH.
