Ceramic carbon composite electrodes, prepared by incorporating ceramic powders with carbon paste matrices, are shown to facilitate the oxidation of thiol compounds. These electrooxidation processes are applied for the detection of cysteine and thioglycolic acid in hair‐treatment products.
