Polarography has been applied to the study of the mixed‐ligand system Zn II ‐alanine‐alaninate, in aqueous medium, at I = 1.0 M NaClO 4 and 25 ± 0.05°C. The study of the quasireversible waves characteristic of Zn II has been carried out by means of a new method of analysis, which is faster and more accurate than traditional methods. The stabilization of the coordinated species [ZnA] 2+ (β 10 = 1.8), [ZnA 2 ] 2+ (β 20 = 0.52), [Zn(A − )] + (β 01 = 9.1 × 10 4 ), [Zn(A − ) 2 ] (β 02 = 9.4 × 10 8 ) and [ZnA(A − )] + (β 11 = 6.2 × 10 4 ) has been established.
