The present work reports on a differential pulse and square wave stripping voltammetric procedure for the determination of orthochlorophenol. The best conditions included using 0.1 M KOH solution, an accumulation potential of 0.4 V vs. Ag/AgCl electrode, a square wave amplitude of 60mV, a frequency of 50 Hz, a step potential of 4mV, and an initial scan potential of −1.0 V. Under these conditions, determination limits of ng/ml were achieved at a stationary glassy carbon electrode.
